| About the Artisan | ||||
| I like to design necklaces and earrings with a specific person in mind. What would they like? I enjoy the challenge of transforming a beautiful stone pendant, or strand of beads into a necklace or pair of earrings that I think someone would love to wear. Combining several types of stones, findings, chains glass beads or metal beads (copper, pyrite, pewter, etc.) into a whole. I try multiple designs patterns until I am happy with the way the piece I am working on looks. "Beading" started out as a hobby, but I find it enjoyable to sell at craft shows in addition to giving jewelry as gifts. Meeting new people, hearing people say how they love my choice of stones, or how lovely the necklaces are. I buy my materials at the Gem & Mineral Show in Tucson, AZ, and at the show in Minneapolis. I have a sister in Tucson, who also “beads” and we have a great time shopping at the show. The prices at the Gem & Mineral Show in Tucson are much lower than shopping in bead stores in my home city, and I pass those savings on to you. My designs highlight the beauty of the stones and other beads that I use. I consider their personality and colors and how they will best complement each other to create an individually designed and handcrafted piece of jewelry. | ||||
